Automatic enrollment after 6 months of service.

  1. Eligibility - All permanent full-time and/or part-time employees who work at least 1,000 hours per year.  Employees become eligible upon completion of 6 months of services. 

  2. Contributions - For each month that you are an active plan participant the Authority will deposit an amount equal to 12% of your monthly earnings into your account.  In addition, the plan allows you to make voluntary after-tax contributions of up to 10% of your earnings.

  3. Vesting Schedule - Your status on the vesting schedule will be determined by the number of years of service, which you have completed to the date of you termination of employment.  The vested percentage is determined from the following schedule:

    Years of Service    % of Authority Contributions
               3                                    20%
               4                                    40%
               5                                    60%
               6                                    80%
               7                                   100%

  4. Termination of Employment - If your employment terminated before your normal retirement date, your rights to any benefits from Authority contributions under the plan will be determined by your status on the plan's vesting schedule.  If you terminate as a non-vested participant (less than 3 years of service) you shall lose all rights to the balance of your Authority Contribution Account.  You are always fully vested in voluntary contributions.
