Demolition Contractors
Under applicable statutes of the State of Texas, certain professional services may not be obtained by soliciting competitive bids or cost proposals. Such services include medical services, legal services, audit and financial services, engineering services, and other similar professional services, and are secured by a selection process and involve a negotiated agreement, which is submitted to the Authority’s Board of Directors for consideration and approval. In some cases, such as is provided by the Authority’s Bond Counsel, General Counsel, Financial Advisor, or Independent Auditor, the firms providing these services are engaged for a multi-year time period for continuity. In other works, such as engineering services, an engagement of a professional firm is on a project by project basis, with work being performed by various professional firms, each of which is selected on the merits of past performance and their demonstrated proficiency for the type project being undertaken. The Authority’s selection and engagement process is undertaken without regard to race, sex, national origin, creed, or color. Examples of Professional consultant’s contracts include:
