Trinity River Authority of Texas
Lake Livingston Project
Instruction Sheet for a License or Authorization for Excavation
or to construct, Place or Operate a Pier, Bulkhead, Wharf,
Boathouse, Boat slip, Boat stall, Dock, Barge, Building, or Other
Facility on Project Lands Controlled by the Authority.
Please read all information mailed to you before preparing
application.
Applicant must fill in all blanks on the application. If a statement
is not applicable to your circumstances, fill in the blanks with the
initials N.A.
The applicant will return the original and two copies of the
completed application and two sets of plans (drawn to scale) and
specifications (listing the materials used) of the intended structure
in addition to plot plans showing the facility in relation to the
property on which it is to be located to the Trinity River Authority,
P.O. Box 360, Livingston, Texas 77351.
When the application and plans have been reviewed by the Trinity
River Authority, the applicant will be advised by mail of the
decision. If corrections or changes are necessary, the applicant will
be advised. (After corrections acceptable to the Authority are made,
the Authority’s regular procedure will be continued.)
If application is in order and all requirements and standards are
met, a letter of authorization will be sent advising applicant that
his application and other information have been reviewed and meet with
the Authority’s approval.
Upon completion of construction and receipt of the prescribed fee,
the License and a receipt for the amount received will be mailed to
the Licensee.
Licenses must be renewed each year and the expiration date will be
June 1 for each year thereafter. On an annual renewal of license, the
Licensee will be advised by mail at his last known address of the
necessity to mail the prescribed fee for the renewal license.
No new facilities or additions may be made without prior
authorization from the Authority.
The Trinity River Authority will make periodic inspections to see
that all standards and regulations, as agreed to in the application,
are being met.
The Trinity River Authority retains the sole right to regulate the
level of the water impounded in the Livingston Reservoir.
