Livingston Recreation Facilities

Under the terms of the 1964 contract between TRA and Houston that produced Lake Livingston, the Authority was able to purchase 26 sites containing 2,463 acres of land adjacent to the lake for recreational development.

With the assistance of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, five of those sites have been

developed as public boat ramps to provide free public access to the lake.

In 1971, TRA issued recreation revenue bonds for the purpose of funding construction of Wolf Creek Park, a full service recreation facility in San Jacinto County.

Existing facilities are continually maintained and improvements are completed as needed to provide first rate accommodation for guests to the park.
