Thank you for visiting Trinity River Authority's web site.  The Authority, better known as TRA, was created by the Texas Legislature in 1955 to provide valuable services to the citizens of the Trinity River Basin that include the treatment of water for drinking, wastewater treatment, recreation, and the development and operation of lakes for water supply.  TRA has also assisted many cities and industries in the basin with tax exempt financing for pollution control facilities.
