Peak Performance Award for Operations Excellence 
(2020)

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies has recognized four Trinity River Authority of Texas wastewater treatment systems with Peak Performance Awards. The recognition program consists of three categories: Platinum, Gold and Silver. Platinum awards were presented to the facilities for complete and consistent National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit compliance.

The Central Regional Wastewater System was recognized for 27 years (Platinum); Red Oak Creek Regional Wastewater System, 21 years (Platinum); Ten Mile Creek Regional Wastewater System, 19 years (Platinum); Mountain Creek Regional Wastewater System, 14 years (Gold) and the Denton Creek Regional Wastewater System, 16 years (Platinum).

Utility of the Future Today Award
(2016, 2019)

The Utility of the Future Recognition Program awards the exceptional performance of domestic and international water systems for innovative and forward-thinking practices. The program is defined by water utility leaders who pioneer innovative technologies and practices that focus on resource recovery, sustainability and efficiency.

Government Finance Officers Association Award
The Trinity River Authority of Texas has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report for five consecutive years. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

Occupational Excellence Achievement Award
Awarded by the National Safety Council to recognize organizations with injury and illness records better than or equal to 50 percent of the Bureau of Labor Statistics for their NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code. Thirteen TRA projects/staff groups were recognized.
