New Hire Incentives

Get up to a total of $2,000 incentive pay when you accept an eligible permanent full-time or part-time position with us!

What positions are eligible for the New Hire Incentive pay?
New employees who accept permanent full-time and permanent part-time positions listed below
are eligible for the new hire incentive pay. Rehires are not eligible for the new hire incentive pay.

  • Operators I, II, III, Senior, and Chief
  • Maintenance Mechanics I, II, Senior, and Chief
  • Utility Maintenance Workers I, II, Senior, and Chief
  • Electronic Technicians I, II, Senior, and Chief
  • Electricians I, II, Senior, and Chief

When will I receive my New Hire Incentive pay if eligible?
The new hire incentive pay is paid in two separate payments (subject to payroll taxes), directly deposited into the employee's paycheck.

  • $1,000 after new hire has successfully completed 6 months of consecutive employment at the Authority
  • Additional $1,000 after the new hire completed 12 months of consecutive employment from date of hire.


What is the process to receive the New Hire Incentive pay?
Employees who are awarded new hire pay are not required to submit a form. Human Resources or Office Coordinators will initiate the new hire incentive pay request in UKG for approval before it is processed in payroll
