The Trinity River Authority held a community meeting on Tuesday, May 7, to educate people who live near TRA’s Denton Creek Regional Wastewater System plant about the services provided at the location. Senior Operations and Compliance Manager, Jennifer Moore and DCRWS Plant Manager, Karl Moellering discussed the plant in detail, including the technology involved in treating wastewater and future expansion plans to meet the needs of a growing population.

Moellering described the multi-stage process wastewater undergoes at the plant, highlighting biological and chemical treatments that ensure the water is safe before it's returned to the environment. He also addressed challenges related to increased demand and explained the infrastructure upgrades and new technologies planned for the future.

Residents had the chance to ask questions and engage in discussions, gaining insights into the plant's operations and the Authority’s commitment to sustainability and public health. The event was well-received, with attendees appreciating the transparency and opportunity to learn about the plant's vital role in the community. The Authority plans to organize additional sessions to keep the residents informed.
